Stitcher Nominated for a Webby Award

Shortly after "HASH IT OUT WITH JANE" became available on Stitcher, they

were nominated for a Webby Award in the category of 'Mobile Apps Podcasts.'  Coincidence?  Probably, but it's still really cool that this quirky little podcast is available through multiple prestigious channels which include, iTunes, Podomatic, and the media player at the top of this page.

Robert Bennett, Author of The Blind Traveler Mysteries

Robert Bennett is my first guest on "HASH IT OUT WITH JANE" who authors a fictional book series, though he uses that term loosely.  Although he acquired a disability in his adult life, in addition to the one he was born with, Robert Bennett never ceases to be inspired by the world around him.  To learn more about Robert Bennett and his work, follow the links below.

John Pardee, Nolan Klein, and a few Vietnam Veterans

This is by far the most intense episode of "HASH IT OUT WITH JANE" thus far.  I wanted to post it earlier but I was arguing with myself about which details to include and which ones to omit.  I don't ever want to exploit anyone yet sometimes harsh and graphic truths need to be discussed to make a point.  The point of this episode is to educate law makers and voters about the necessity of Medical Marijuana.  All participants in this episode were fully informed as to what they were contributing to and they consented.

This episode is better than beans on toast!  Sam Renke, an up and coming British Actress with a disability and Director Max Barber were so much fun to chat with that I ended up breaking down the interview into two episodes!  I just couldn't bare to cut any of our silly yet informative dialogue.  Sam plays the lead female role in "The Little Devil", while the lead male character is played by seasoned Actor, DeObia Oparei.

Paul Caune, co-creator of "Hope Is Not A Plan"

This week, my friend Paul Caune made his second appearance on "HASH IT OUT WITH JANE."  On this visit, he was promoting a new documentary called "Hope Is Not A Plan."  In this film, produced by Urban Sherpa Films, audiences will learn how few civil rights people with disabilities in Canada have.  The main objective is to encourage the establishment of legislation similar to the American's With Disabilities Act.  When "Hope Is Not A Plan" becomes available on DVD, all proceeds will go to a charity that provides services to Canadians with disabilities.
