Dear fans of Hash It Out With Jane,
You may have noticed that over the past year, new episodes
of this fun, naughty, and educational podcast have been few and far between.
Lack of edgy topics to discuss and groovy people to interview are not to blame.
I simply don’t have the time anymore.
Through this podcast I have joyfully been promoting and
supporting artists, educators, entrepreneurs, musicians, and other movers and
shakers out there with and without disabilities, for the past four years. It
has been a hugely rewarding labor of love.
Now, it’s time for me to move on. I am retiring from
podcasting. This is not something to be sad about. The reason I don’t have time
to podcast anymore is because of the abundance of exciting opportunities
becoming available to me!
One of the reasons I started Hash It Out With Jane is
because I believe people with disabilities need to create our own quality
media, in every form, because Hollywood just never seems to get it right…or get
‘us’ right, I should say. While I am not at liberty to spill the beans on all
my new undertakings at this time, my work will continue to support inclusive media
and challenge societal norms.
The final episode of Hash It Out With Jane will post on
Monday, June 9th. My beautiful and talented co-host is….Gaelynn Lea Tressler,
winner of NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest!
In closing, I want to give a big, wet, sloppy, heartfelt
thank you to everyone who helped make this podcast a huge success. Go download
all your favorite episodes now because I will not be renewing my Podomatic subscription,
where they are hosted.
Love always,
Jane
